Patrol limit - 031459. Out 1400. In 1600 hrs. Patrol a preliminary to night recce patrol in this area. 1840hrs. "B" Coy recce patrol overdue. Permission obtained by Coy from CO to send out fighting patrol to search for missing patrol. 1900hrs. Slight re-adjustment in Coy posns completed. Bn moves EAST from high ground 020542. "A" Coy 023450 - "B" Coy 022449 - "C" Coy 021442 - "D" Coy 026444. Bn HQ still at 009453. Cdns attack HOCHWALD FOREST (about two miles EAST of Bn posn). Occasional shelling of "B" Coy area during Day. 2155hrs. Four PW received from Cdn forces, All identified from 6 Para Div. 2240hrs. "B" Coy fighting patrol returns. Nothing seen of afternoon recce patrol. |
