Entry 0045hrs. 3 recce patrols sent out during the night - no enemy encountered, but movement and sound of horse drawn vehs heard in areas, 777539, 770555. All houses on Bde front now have Ser No attached for ref: 0630hrs. I.O.P. est at 758549. 1100hrs. ROADBLOCK 755557 to be erected to discourage infiltration of "looters" and civilians. 1355hrs. White flag seen on house 781544 - possible enemy RAP. 1600hrs. B Coy report shells landing behind their area - believed 10.5cm. 2135hrs. Bn HQ sentry reports 2 verey lights in area 761551. 2200hrs. Est that verey lights were fired by rear sec of A Coy rear pl who saw 6 enemy approaching their posn. Sec then fired on enemy who withdrew. Small fighting patrol sent out in pursuit. 2255hrs. D Coy report NEBELWERFER (?) firing from area of church in HORST 781544 - target engaged by arty.
