Enemy tk observed by I.O.P. at 712735 - shelled by arty. 1000hrs. D Coy area being shelled. 1005hrs. B Coy area being shelled. 1200hrs. 60 enemy inf reptd at 715752 - engaged by 3" Mortars. 1400hrs. D Coy report some enemy tks in wood 704728. 1410hrs. Large numbers of enemy inf lining embankment by D Coy area. Enemy engaged by mortars and withdrew NORTHWARDS. 1525hrs. D Coy report tks near level crossing in orchard 707727 - engaged by 5.5 guns. 1840hrs. D Coy report tk at 7008735, approaching from EAST. Identified as a PANTHER. Tk engaged and hit by PIAT and probably hit by arty.
