Entry | At midnight "D" Coy on orders from Bde began to attack an area 500 yds in front of "B" Coys' posns (950501). The object of this was tenable 130 Bde to attack SOUTH through us. The attack was unsucessful owing to well placed Spandaus and the objective was not taken. The coy suffered 50 casualties incl Lieuts LC May (29667) and AL King (25641) killed and Lieut. L.F. Mundy (315962) wounded. During the day 130 Bde attacked sucessfully Southwards, but Bn is still exposed on left flank and still received considerable shelling. |
