Entry All spare men in the main Billets employed by Coys in cleaning out the new Billets in the NORTH of the town. Ammunition withdrawn from all officers and men, except those for Guard. This by a Base Administrative order, ordering the withdrawal of all ammunition, but the C.O decided to retain those for guards 1500: C.O visited 7 Pl at CHATEAU BOUGON. Lt.Col Thomson employed by Base HQ in general Billeting duties for the base. Major G.B. Russell occupied all day in settling up the Billeting problems of the Bn. First mail and correspondence in from Brigade HQrs today, from the HQ L of C at LE MANS 1800: Inlying Piquet reported to PM near the Town Centre, was employed as patrols, but not required to any extent, merely a precaution
