Entry 0730: Arr. NANTES. Detrained at WEST Stn, formed up in the Station Square. Tea issued 0930: Marched of to Billets in WEST of Town 1030: Arr at School in RUE DE LA MUTUALITÉ. The first Reinforcement under Major Hooper billeted in a smaller school about 1/4 mile from the main Billet. Accommodation new, but no spare room, and washing and sanitary facilities inadequate 1500: Major Hooper detailed as Town Major. Lieut C.F.B. Bond as Garrison Adjutant ST NAZAIRE 1700: M.T. Sector arrived from SAVENAY, about twenty miles away: put in a large garden near the billets. No guards or duties today. No blankets arrived for the Bn. Reference to Appendices; Appendix 'G'
