Entry 0810: Bn dep by coys from coy billets at various times, by march route to staging billets at PROUVRAY - Route PICQUINY - VIGNACOURT - CANAPLES - BERNAVILLE - PROUVRAY Distance for HQ Coy - 20 miles " " D " - 23 miles 3 RASC lorries picked up men with bad feet - about 40. CANAPLES 1250 - 1345: Long halt due to MT being held up ahead, before being cleared of the marching column PROUVRAY 1753: Bn HQs arr PROUVRAY. Billets detailed by Major Bearne, but a coy of 7 R. Tank Regt is also billeted here, and billeting for O.Rs and offrs is close: no trouble finding room for vehicles. Men in good spirits in spite of the long march along dusty roads. 1730: Bde Movement Order No.6 received 2110: Movement Order No.12 issued for move to CONCHY 2300: Air Raid Warning heard, and distant gunfire Bn Strength 31 Offrs 547 O.Rs (5 O.Rs deficient) Weather: Colder night.
