Entry Weather - hot, 4 hrs sunshine at LINSELLES. Thunder and heavy rain from 1500 hrs to 1800 hrs. 0930: Bn dep from LINSELLES in MT column for move to training area near Amiens, in Bde Column. All MT less 1 motor cycle crashed this morning, Route - QUESNOY, LOMME, FOURNES, LA BASSEE, BETHUNE, BRUAY, ST. POL 0948: Head of column passed Bn S.P. QUESNOY 0954: Head column arr Bde S.P, but 2 trucks held up by closed level crossing 1048: Hd column passed Bde S.P LOMME 1112: Hd coln passed Div S.P 1130: Tail of Bn column left LINSELLES LA BASSEE 1211: Hd coln arr LA BASSEE. Div Fd Coy R.E joined in column at FOURNES, increasing density. Remainder route via BETHUNE, ST POL, DOULLENS, AMIENS CONTRE 1700: Head of Bn arr at CONTRE. Bn HQ Coy billeted at CONTRE, in empty farms, barns and farm buildings. A & D Coys at BERGIECOURT, B & C at FLEURY.
