Entry Weather: Low thick mist all day, warm showers and rain from 1900 hrs 0430: Capt C.F.G. Bond and TCP returned from BRUAY 0915: Conference Coy etc comdrs at Bn HQs on move to billeting area near AMIENS. All Coys packing up and evacuating billets, offices and garages to receive incoming unit, which occupies present Bn location. The Bn goes into spare accommodation, cinemas, etc until the move tomorrow 0920: Capt C.F.G. Bond and 1 NCO per coy dep for billeting area to take over billets and act as guides to unit when it comes in. 1100: 2/Lt Woodcock appointed Bn Liaison Officer and reported to Bde HQs 1105: Capt Rock Bde Major to Bn HQs on points of the move 1200: Brig Dempsey to Bn HQs 1427: 5th Lan Fusiliers arr in RASC lorries. Billets and HQs taken over from this unit. Bn HQs now set up in street in Bn Office Trucks. RASC Lorries (29) taken over for move tomorrow. Afternnon spent in handing over to new units 1810: H.R.H. the Duke of Gloucester arr to see Lt-Col Moore off 1845: Brig Dempsey arr to note progress of hand-over 2300: Capt Read, 2/Lt Kidner and 8 O.Rs dep on leave
