Location RAIPUR, Burma
Entry 0800 hrs. The C.O. Major F.N.B. Boshell and the I.O. went with the Brigadier and other infantry Bn representatives to recce positions for a camp for boating training. The following places were seen: TEBIN(2291), MYINTNI (9921), SWEANE (9814), TEDAW (0307) and THANIAYO (0305). 1200 hrs. Large fire seen about 2 miles East of Bn area. Found to be locals burning undergrowth. 1900 hrs. The Div Mobile ("Colville") Cinema showed "Candlelight in Algier" to half the Bn. The remainder were on duty in their Coy areas. Rations up to scale. Weather : fine, still getting a cool northerly breeze. Major J.S. Walenn left today to take up the appointment of Brigade Major, 4th Inf Bde.
