| Entry | 0930 hrs. C.O. inspected all rifle Coy, defensive positions. 1100 hrs. Div H.O. visited the Bn, and lectured HQ and D Companies on the situation on our front. 1300 hrs. C.O. & 2 i/c accompanied by L/Bdr Dawson (B.I.C.) visited the lead men of KYIGAN village (MR 1411) and had lunch. 1500 hrs. Horse racing with wooden horses took place in H.Q Company area. 1530 hrs. Patrol reports sent to Brigade. 1930 hrs. "Kitneys Follies" (B echelon Concert Party) performed for the Bn in H.Q. area. Voted an excellent show by all. Brigadier Smith, Major Pettit (BM) and Capt J. Whitehead (Staff Capt) attended. The local headman and family, of KYIGAN village attended. The former brought his "jazz" band, which performed. |
