Location RAIPUR, Burma
Entry 0930 hrs. C.O. visited all Companies to co-ordinate the rearrangement of the Bn concentration area for more efficient ground defence within the coordinated Brigade area. See trace attached. 1100 hrs. The 14th Army Catering Adviser, accompanied by the Divisional Catering Adviser, visited the Battalion, and saw the C.O., 2 i/c, and QM. The ration situation, cooking in the field and supplies of food were discussed. 0900 hrs. One carrier, one jeep and one foot patrol were sent out in accordance with Bn. Operation Order No 1. See appendix. 1600 hrs. Reports received from Patrols and forwarded to Bde. The following promotions were approved:- Promotions: Lieut N.R. Coule to T/Captain. Major G. Acton to T/Captain. Capt A. Borelli to Lieut. Weather: cold at night , hot at midday. No rain. Slight northerly breeze. 2110 hrs. unidentified plane flew over Bn area. Reference to Appendices: Major DMM Hall returned to be O.C.
