Location RAIPUR, Burma
Entry This morning the Bn moved by march route at 0800 hrs. Our objective was to make for a rest area 1 mile east of KADUMA. At 0915 upwards of 12 OSCARS attacked our column and leading vehicles machine gunning and bombing. The air raid lasted 20 minutes. The Bn continued to move spread out in formation over paddy fields arriving in area as stated by 1130 hrs. Here we took all air raid precautions immediately digging slit trenches. At 1245 hrs a second wave of enemy aircraft bombed the area. The remainder of day and night was quiet. A free beer issue for all ranks in the evening. The C.O held a Conference at 1700 hrs. Remarks: Air raid casualties: 2 B.O.R's killed, 2 B.O.R's wounded evac, 1 B.O.R of the B.I.C. attached to Bn wounded and evac.
