Entry A fine day. Work continued last night, new communication trench from centre section to GIVENCHY CHURCH nearly completed. Wire chevaux defence put out in front of ducks bill point. Relieved at 3pm by Kings, one slight casualty. Our guns bombarded enemy trenches about 4pm. Little reply. A Coy moved from KEEP to forward Bde Reserve Billets. B, C & D Coys returned to LE PREOL. Germans seen driving in piles near ducks-bill point. Captain Radford returned off leave. 2/Lt J Burrell 1/ The Queens Regiment attached to the Battalion temporarily.
