Entry | In billets. The Battalion stood to arms at 6.30am. C of E and other denominational services at 10am. At 3pm started relieving Kings in GIVENCHY VILLAGE. On way up enemy opened a lively bombardment, which delayed relief, no damage done. Btn HQ and D Company took over Keep. B Coy on right (50 yds from enemy) A Coy in Centre and C Coy on left (300 yds from enemy), Staffords on right of B Coy, 1/KRR on left of C Coy. All line except B Coys section dry. All four machine guns in line plus 2 guns of Kings. |
