Regiment | 1st Royal Berkshire |
---|---|
Location | France, RUE DE L'EPINETTE |
Entry | A fine day, bright sun and hard frost. Enemy's aircraft very active. Four low shallow trenches each about 100yds long were constructed half way between forward and reserve companies, as a support pivot or resting place for reinforcements. A slight fall of snow and a bright moon made movement very conspicuous. An explosion followed by shouts and groans was heard behind the German lines near the LA QUINQUE RUE road. |
