| Entry | Truce continued so far a rifle fire was concerned although our artillery twice opened fire, more work done in improving trenches. (3 men to hospital). 2nd Rifle Brigade relieved Battalion at 5pm; Battalion went into billets at FORT D'ESQUIN. At 11pm information received from a deserter that the enemy intended to attack during the night, consequently Battalion was held in readiness during whole night. One Company reinforcing 10th Kensington Regt, in their trenches. |
