Entry weather fine. Warning orders were received that the 2nd Div would be relieved by the Guards and 62nd Div on night of 2nd/3rd. Company training was carried out inn the morning and salvaging in the afternoon. 2/LTS J.H. Edgar, H. Kemp, N.J. Dell and R.A. Wenn joined the Battalion. Battalion Hdqrs were shelled during the night: casualties 1OR killed, 1OR wounded. LT COL J.M. Southey admitted to hospital.
