Entry At 3.30 AM 2 coys of 7/KSLI relieved A and B Coys in front of the Railway and 1 Coy of 1/KRRC relieved C and D Coys behind the Railway, the Battn moving into the E end of BERMERAIN. The relief was completed by 6.30 AM. The Casualties during the operations were:- Officers wounded Capt E.L. Jerwood M.C. 2/Lt H.J. Odell 2/Lt H Street 2/Lt J. Gould D.C.M. Other ranks killed 10 wounded 66 missing 7 near BERMERAIN The Battn rested and reorganised during the day. LT W.C. Ganney M.C., LT F. Cooper, 2/LTS G Bysh, A.W. Owen and G.H. Whistance joined the Battn. Weather fine
