Regiment | 1st Royal Berkshire |

Location | France, MAILLY-MAILLET & FORCEVILLE |
Entry | The morning was spent in cleaning up and resting, and some reorganization was attempted. In the afternoon the Battn moved back to billets at FORCEVILLE. Here the men had a good nights rest under cover for the first time since leaving MANANCOURT on the 23rd instant. The 200 reinforcements with 2/Lieuts SPENCER, BUSH, REYNOLDS AND DURMER had joined us at MAILLY-MAILLET and, in spite of casualties, our numbers were still fairly useful though a thorough reorganization was necessary before we could be a useful fighting unit again. |
