Entry A daylight patrol under 2/Lieut REYNOLDS and Sgt Jenkins reached the enemy dug-out on PARTRIDGE ROAD (R.20.d.73.13) and shot a sentry. The enemy alarmed by the shot drove our patrol off and in the subsequent fighting we accounted for at least two other Germans but no identification was secured. Casualties 1 OR (L/C DAVY killed). In the evening C & B Companies relieved D & A Coys in the line. Casualties NIL. D,C and A Companies all had patrols out on our front watching enemy work and movement and endeavouring to secure prisoners dead or alive, but met with no success.
