| Entry | G.O.C Divn inspected the billets. O.C. Companies went up the line after dusk and reconnoitred LEFT sector of RIGHT section of LA VACQUERIE line which the Battn was to take over next day. Considerable bombing by enemy aircraft in the early evening but METZ escaped damage. A very warm spring like day. A Lewis gun team of B Coy attached to RFA for AA work became casualties owing to their having used shell hole water tainted with mustard gas for washing. |
