Very early in the morning the enemy commenced a very heavy bombardment of our front and support lines and communication trenches - this continued throughout the day and night - the enemy appearing to fire at haphazard - searching our lines, nil probably registering under cover of what seemed to be loose or inaccurate shooting. A & B Coys each found working parties of 50 OR to work on FORT GEORGE from 6 - 10 pm. Casualties 1 OR killed 1 OR wounded. |
