Entry Bathing of Battalion continued under arrangements made by Qtr Mst. On account of hostile shelling C & D Coys vacated the NISSEN huts and moved to safer quarters in the CATACOMBS. Working parties digging CT as on previous night, all Coys digging from 11pm to 5am. Casualties: 10 OR's of B Coy wounded by shell fire while waiting in Sunken Road to proceed to work. Large numbers were reporting sick at this period with diarrhoea and sore feet, the prolonged strain of 9 days fighting in the line and working parties every night beginning to tell on even the strongest men. Reinforcements of 42 OR arrived and posted to B Coy.
