| Entry | Battn billeted in NISSEN huts, dugouts and shelters in HERMIES - rested the whole of this day, as many of the men were very worn and fatigued after their trying time in the line, which was spent practically in open trenches in cold weather, with plenty of hard work and fighting, but, in spite of these hardships the health of the Battn appeared unimpaired, and the men were in excellent spirits. |
