Entry Weather dry but dull and overcast. Battn inspected by CO in the morning. In the evening the Battn relieved 2/S/Staffs in GIVENCHY RIGHT sub sector (The 99th Brigade taking over the whole sector from 6th Brigade) Relief completed 10.30pm. Casualties nil. For the holding of this front the 4 Company organization was retained - each Coy of 2 platoons Companies were disposed as follows: A Co (Capt M P PUGH MC) in support in GUNNERS SIDING. B Co (Capt STEED) on Right front. C Co (Capt E P JACKSON) in Centre front and D Co (Capt P MOUSLEY) on left front (islands). In taking over the line we assumed responsibility for the training of No1 Coy 13th Btn PORTUGUESE Infantry - 1 platoon being attached "man to man" to each B, C and D Companies.
