Location France, Front Line Trenches CAMBRIN RIGHT
Entry Weather fine and warm. An uneventful day. About midnight the enemy fired about 20 77mm shells near Battn HQ, all of which failed to explode or exploded harmlessly in the ground. Subsequent investigation proved these to be shrapnel shell. Casualties 1 OR (A/Cpl Rivers) wounded by spent MG bullet. 2/Lieut A J HARRIS joined the Battn.
