Entry Weather warm and fine and very clear visibility. Shelling normal except that Battalion Headquarters was shelled heavily with 5.9" at 60 secs interval between 1 and 3 pm. 11-0 pm. The Battalion relieved 1st KRR in front line trenches (No 1 Coy on right flank, and No 2 Coy on the left) A heavy ground mist helped to conceal movement. Relief completed at 1.45 am. Casualties Nil. Bn Hdqrs still at ORCHARD dugout.
