On 21 May 1910, Ireland, Dublin. Battalion route marched to Kilbride to continue musketry course and returned to Dublin on completion of musketry course on 4 June.
On 27 June 1910, Ireland, Dublin. Battalion (Ten Officers and 690 Rank and File) by route march to Killough camp near Enniskerry for battalion training and returned by route march to Dublin on 9 July.
On 25 July 1910, Ireland, Dublin. Battalion (25 Officers and 540 Rank and File) by route march to Kilbride Camp for musketry and returned to Dublin on 3 August.
On 29 Aug 1910, Ireland, Dublin. Battalion (27 Officers and 587 Rank and File) by route march to Newtown Camp for Brigade Training followed by Divisional Training at The Curragh and Co. Carlow. Battalion returned to Dublin on 17 September, from Divisional Training by rail from Bagenalstown.

On 4 Oct 1910, Ireland, Curragh. Battalion by rail to Dublin, embarked for Holyhead en-route for Dover, there to be stationed. Battalion arrived there on 5 October, to be quartered: 'F', 'G', and 'H' Companies, with Band and Drums at South Front Barracks. 'A', 'B', 'C', 'D' and 'E' Companies detachment at Fort Burgoyne.
The same day (5th) one Officer, 34 Corporals and Men rejoined Battalion from Mounted Infantry School Longmoor.
On 12 October 24 Recruits joined from the Depot and on 23 November a further 13 recruits joined from the Depot..

On 13 Dec 1910, England, Southampton. Draft (One Officer, six Corporals and 118 Privates) embarked in Hired Transport 'Rohilla' to join 1st Battalion in South Africa at Pietermaritzburg.
On 5 Jan 1911, England, Dover. Draft (Two Sergeants, six Corporals, three Drivers and 51 Privates) to Southampton for embarkation for India to join 2nd Battalion.
On 10 January 22 recruits joined from the Depot, with a further five on 28 January
