On 4 Oct 1910, Ireland, Curragh. Battalion by rail to Dublin, embarked for Holyhead en-route for Dover, there to be stationed. Battalion arrived there on 5 October, to be quartered: 'F', 'G', and 'H' Companies, with Band and Drums at South Front Barracks. 'A', 'B', 'C', 'D' and 'E' Companies detachment at Fort Burgoyne. The same day (5th) one Officer, 34 Corporals and Men rejoined Battalion from Mounted Infantry School Longmoor. On 12 October 24 Recruits joined from the Depot and on 23 November a further 13 recruits joined from the Depot..
