On 17 Oct 1902, Gibraltar. Draft (Four Sergeants, six Corporals and 400 Men) moved to North Front to await embarkation for Egypt, to join 2nd Battalion on their arrival from South Africa.
During Dec 1902, England, Woking. New Service Dress issued and taken into wear by Battalion. Red Serge abolshied for home wear - tunics to be worn by men when walking-out.
On 5 Feb 1903, India, Rawal Pindi. Detachment of one Officer and 52 Non Commissioned Officers and men of 'A' Company by route march to Campbellpore to relieve detachment of 2nd K. R. Rifles
