On 21 Feb 1845, India. Regiment arrived in Delhi, having crossed Jumna. March continues through Umballa and Loodianah, to Ferozepore. Held in readiness between Loodianah and Ferozepore against Sikh Troops
On 8 Apr 1845, England, Gosport. Regiment arrived here by rail and embarked, arriving at Devonport on 12 April and went into barracks. Two small detachments were deployed to St Nicholas Island and to Pendennis, near Falmouth.
On 1 July 1845, New Zealand, Ohaeawai. Unsuccessful assault on principal chief's pah. Losses to detachment were killed - 17 Non Commissioned Officers and men, were wounded- four Officers, 26 Corporals and Men
During Sept 1845, Ireland. The Regiment was sent to Dublin during September, with the Headquarters at Athlone and small detachments in the surrounding country
On 20 Oct 1845, India, Chinsurah. Detachment of 62nd (Four Officers and 51 men) plus detachments from 3 Light Dragoons and 50th Regiment under Captain William Mathias embarked to join respective Regiments
