On 2 Mar 1847, India, New Colgona. Transport fleet struck by storm. Boat carrying Colours burned, destroying Colours and other property. Fleet reassembled and continued voyage the next day. Decision made to make passage on River Jellinghee. Water levels low. Passage difficult. Regiment deployed dragging boats over mudbanks. Two men lost by drowning. Regiment arrived at Calcutta on 23 March
