On 11 Aug 1842, India, Calcutta, Fort William. The first Division of the Regiment embarked in boats for Dinapore. With the exception of two or three casualties from drowning in consequence of carelessness and disregard of orders on the part of the sufferers, and detention to replace unserviceable boats and deficiencies in boatman, the voyage passed over prosperously till the 5 of September where they moored at a place called Sickree Gully
