On 2 Feb 1816, Ireland, Monkstown. 2/62nd disembarked, except Captain Radford's and Captain Reed's companies as the ship they were on were wrecked off Kinsale. Captain Radford was drowned but all others were saved. During February it marched to Dundalk. In April it marched to Drogheda, to Dublin on 16 April where, on 24 April, it was reduced, 400 men being sent to 1/62nd at Halifax, Nova Scotia.
