On 3 Dec 1821, England, Chatham. The left wing embarked for Africa on the \'Thomas Coutts\', an Indiaman. On 7 December Headquarters and the right wing embarked on the \'William Fairlie\'. Both ships reached Table Bay on 1 March 1822, but troops on the \'William Fairlie\' were put in quarantine for measles at Robben Island until 30 March 1822
