On 19 Nov 1868, St Helena. Detachment ('F', 'G', 'H' and 'I' Companies) embarked on 'Racoon' consisting of seven Officers, 194 Other Ranks and one child. The detachment disembarked from 'Racoon' at Cape Town on 7 December and rejoined Headquarters
