In the Great War of 1914-1918 every Wiltshire Community suffered a catastrophic loss of its young sons. Richard Broadhead has researched the lives of those who fell in intimate detail, and in this book the family tragedies of Chippenham in those years begin to come alive for us. This book is in addition to others produced by Richard for Salisbury Soldiers, Trowbridge Soldiers and Calne Soldiers all of which are remarkable achievements that are to be commended. All of these books contain a considerable amount of information about Wiltshire Regiment Soldiers.
This is the fourth book produced by Richard Broadhead dedicated to the Fallen of the First Wolrd War from a Wiltshire Town. This time it is Chippenham\'s Fallen who receive the the benefit of Richard\'s dedicated work. His research into his subject matter is first class as is borne out by how much he is able to provide on each individual.
