China Dragons - The story of B Company 2nd Royal Berkshires at war in Burma 1944/45


China Dragons is the story of the 196 officers, NCOs and men of 'B' Company, The Royal Berkshire Regiment, who waged war against the Japanese in Burma as the spearhead of the 14th Army's victorious offensive between November 1944 and June 1945.

This book tells the story of \'B\' Company, the Royal Berkshire Regiment, in Burma, between November 1944 and June 1945.  During that time they were in close contact with the enemy for a total of 86 days. It is written by John Hill, who commanded \'B\' Company during this period winning the Military Cross. John Hill was a regular officer.  He joined the Regiment in 1938 and was posted to the 2nd Battalion in India. He remained in the Army after the war.  His service including postings to the School of Infantry, Egypt, Germany and to Cyprus for the EOKA emergency, where he earned a Mention in Dispatches. The original \'China Dragons\' was published in 1991 and is long out of print. There has remained a demand for the book and John Hill\'s family have had a facsimile edition printed which is now on sale.
