£7.50

In 1860, John Dunne was a Captain in the 99th (Lanarkshire) Regiment. The 99th were part of a force which sailed from Calcutta in March 1860 to China. There the force took the Taku Forts and marched to Pekin, which was taken and sacked.

This book is Dunne's account of his time from March to November 1860 when he was very much part of the action.
